Bruce Moore, age 61 of Northfield, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-4:00 pm Saturday, September 12th at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield with burial at the Greenvale Cemetery in Castle Rock.

Bruce Lee Moore was born December 29, 1953 in Northfield, son of Warren and Synola (Nasby) Moore. He was raised in Castle Rock and attended grade school in Castle Rock. He began school in Northfield in 7th grade and graduated from Northfield High School in 1972. He began working for Brockway Glass in Rosemount soon after graduation.

On May 29, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Zirk. When Brockway was sold to Owens Illinois Glass Bruce transferred to their plant in Danville, Virginia where he worked until 2010 with a medical disability. They moved to Northfield in 2012 to be closer to their families.

He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing throughout his life, was an avid baseball fan, played fast pitch softball in a league in Farmington, and bowled for a number of years. In Danville he was a member of the Hardy Hunting Club and the Danville Sports Club. He and Sandy enjoyed traveling together and took many trips throughout the US, with Myrtle Beach as their favorite, and trips to Germany and Okinawa where their daughter was stationed during her military service.

Bruce Moore is survived by wife Sandra of Northfield; children Kasey (Joe) Gatchell and Mickey Moore all of O’Fallon, IL; brothers Warren (Patricia) Moore of Castle Rock, Lenny (Barb) Moore of Northfield; sister Penny (Dan) Malecha of Mendota Heights; grandchildren Brady, Gavin, and Arianna Gatchell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
