She had a big garden and loved to can the produce from it. She loved to grow flowers including iris, lilies and various perennials.

Elda was a long time member of the Castle Rock United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years, taught VBS and held various offices within the church and the United Methodist Women’s group. She was also active in Farm Bureau, Greenvale Project Group, and PTA.
