She was raised in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School Class of 1969. Nancy began working at Mid America Dairy as a lab tech in Farmington. Nancy was united in marriage to Henry “LeRoy” Gatton on May 28, 1983, at St John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield. LeRoy and Nancy traveled the United States throughout but especially loved their annual trips to Hawaii. She was interested in tracing her family’s ancestry along with her daughter, Tracy. Nancy was proud of her Norwegian heritage. She enjoyed cross stitch, sewing, and making Halloween costumes. She was also a member of the Red Convertible Car Club in Northfield. She also liked an occasional ride with her husband on his Harley.

I was shocked and saddened to read about Nancy’s passing. I hadn’t realized she had struggled with cancer for a number of years. I will always remember her with fondness. She was a wonderful employee and always had a smile on her face. I will never forget the year she dressed as a Christmas tree, complete with lights, for our Halloween ‘do’ at Midwest. Of course she won the costume prize! My thoughts and prayers are with her whole family.
