She enjoyed a rewarding career helping elementary and middle school students overcome the challenges of special learning needs.

Charlotte had so many life experiences that ranged from pilgrimages around the world to being involved in many groups at First United Church of Christ and events at Carleton College. She was a gracious host to friends, foreign exchange students and visiting professors. Whether it was walking through the Carleton Arboretum with one of her beloved dogs on a crisp fall day or arranging freshly picked wildflowers for a dear friend, Charlotte loved nature. Charlotte’s family and friends knew her as an exceptionally kind and caring person who always saw the best in people. She carried herself with a simple elegance that always put others before herself. Her caring, kindness, generosity and genuine interest in others will be missed by those who knew her.
