On September 26, 2018, David James Cork, age 47, passed away in his home, in Northfield, MN. David was a kind soul, whom was born to Barbara Anne and Philip James Cork on April 28, 1971, in Davenport Iowa. David has one older sister, Janet. He and his family moved from state to state, due to his father’s engineering career. They settled in Prague, Oklahoma. And this would be the place they called home for the longest. There, David and his sister made numerous friends and enjoyed living in the country. David was a great fan of cats and had several of them growing up.
He graduated from Prague High School in 1989 and did some post-secondary schooling in Auto-Cad and drafting. He worked in Oklahoma for ten years before moving to Minnesota in the fall of 1999. There, he found his new career with NDS Drilling Supply, Inc. in Elko, MN. He worked in water-well drilling supplies sales for nineteen years. David developed and had strong relationships with his customers and fellow workmates.
Along with a great career, David had dear friends and family, but he was most proud of his son, Wyatt Cork. David also enjoyed many pastimes, including collecting Beatles memorabilia and listening to their albums/music. He enjoyed all kinds of music genres and was an avid listener. He also loved old and new sports & muscle cars, playing the guitar and watching old movies (Steve McQueen was his favorite) and football – NFL and college alike.
David was preceded in death by his father, Philip Cork and is survived by his son Wyatt Cork (Northfield, MN); his mother, Barbara Cork (San Diego, CA); and his sister, Janet (Cork) Dudley (and her husband Buzzy of San Diego, CA); and many former in-laws, as well as all of his friends.
A visitation, to celebrate David’s life, will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 4:00-7: 00 pm, with a memorial/prayer service to be held at 6:30 pm. I am deeply saddened to learn of David’s passing. I first met him when he started working for Mills Machine and continued as a customer when he moved to NDS. I always enjoyed chatting with him and considered him a friend, not just a business acquaintance! He will be deeply missed! May he rest in peace!
    Sincerely,
    Eric Neubecker
