George Anthony Layeux of Northfield passed away June 14, 2018, at 73 years old. He was proud to be retired Air Force, and ironically, he died on Flag Day. At 28, he was paralyzed in a car accident and lost his ability to walk. He never let his physical limitations limit the joy he found in life and he lived it to the fullest! George Anthony Layeux of Northfield passed away June 14, 2018, at 73 years old. He was proud to be retired Air Force, and ironically, he died on Flag Day. At 28, he was paralyzed in a car accident and lost his ability to walk. He never let his physical limitations limit the joy he found in life and he lived it to the fullest! He loved God, fishing, woodworking, telling jokes and he always loved a good story.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Susan (Herb) Kimm and Robert Layeux. His family includes: a brother Joseph Layeux and his sons Christopher and Scott; his sisters Patricia (John) Webb and their children Sheri and Trevor; Mary (Gary) Jensen-Dodge and their children Katie, Bryan and Cari; Rose (Curt) Olejnicak and their daughter Madison; many great nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. In accordance with his wishes, there will be a private family internment. Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield will handle the cremation. He will be missed forever.
