Jan was born in Pierz, Minnesota on November 23, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Korneck) Waytashek.  The family moved to Stewart, Minnesota where she was raised and graduated from Hutchinson High School.  She was united in marriage to Robert Johnson at St. Agnes Catholic Church in St. Paul.  The couple made their home in St. Paul where Jan worked for Montgomery Wards.  They later moved Northfield where she helped raise their three children and worked as a typesetter for the Northfield News.  Robert and Jan then moved to Sleepy Eye for a short while before moving to Montgomery in 1980.  Robert passed away in 2002.  Jan returned to Northfield where she made her home at Millstream Commons until entering Three Links Care Center.

Jan was an avid Twins, Vikings and Minnesota Gophers fan.  She rarely missed a game on TV or on the radio.  She followed professional golf and enjoyed watching Phil Mickelson play.  Jan’s family wishes to thank all of the staff at Millstream Commons and Three Links Care Center for the kindness, care and loving support they have provided over the past nine years.
