John Mullenmeister, age 43, of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2019, in Washougal, Washington. John was born September 3, 1975, the son of Paul and Mary (Koenig) Mullenmeister in Northfield. In high school, John played soccer and graduated from Northfield High School in 1994. John Mullenmeister, age 43, of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2019, in Washougal, Washington.

John was born September 3, 1975, the son of Paul and Mary (Koenig) Mullenmeister in Northfield. In high school, John played soccer and graduated from Northfield High School in 1994. He then furthered his studies in graphic arts design at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis receiving his Associates degree. John was devoted to helping others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

John was a free-spirited man who was selfless and gave of himself. He was openminded and always wanted to try new things. He was a spiritual man and found peace and relaxation by meditating, drinking tea, and performing qigong or yoga. John’s interests and pastimes were many: he enjoyed listening to music, collecting rocks, attending live concerts, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. John was also an avid sports fan; he played frisbee golf and loved watching sporting programs. In addition, he always loved nature, and in particular animals, hiking, and camping.

He is survived by his parents Paul and Mary of Northfield; his siblings Kynda (Doug) Hancock of Jacksonville, FL; Amy (Jim) Schendel of Kilkenny; Mark (Stephanie) of Blaine; Andy of Dundas; Erick (Marissa) of Northfield; Emily (Aaron) Erickson of Dundas; and Nick of Northfield. John is also survived by his nephews, nieces, and great-nephew Holly; Henry; Heidi; Austin; Brittny; Danielle; Kayla; and Bryan. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 beginning at 11 AM at Church of St. Dominic. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019, from 4 – 7 PM at Church of St. Dominic and one hour prior to the service in the church.
