Marian Hutton, age 92, of Northfield passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Northfield with interment in Meadow Ridge Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Bierman Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the service at church.

Marian Louise Hutton was born on January 18, 1923 in Forest Township, Rice County, Minnesota to Jacob and Anna (Siemers) Prinzing. Marian was baptized on March 18, 1923 at St. Johns Church LCMS Webster, MN. Marian graduated from Faribault High School in 1940. She then attended Platteville State Teachers College where she received her degree in Rural Teacher Course of Study on June 8, 1942. After graduation she began teaching at Little Prairie Country School in rural Dundas and later taught at Dundas Public School.

On January 18, 1945 Marian was united in marriage to Cecil R. Hutton at Trinity Lutheran Church in Northfield by Pastor Walter Beltz. This marriage was blessed with 6 sons. Marian enjoyed working alongside her husband Cecil on the family farm. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage before Cecil passed away in 2013.

Marian taught Sunday School for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Northfield. She was a leader for the Full-O-Pep 4H Club and a member of Dacie Moses House and Little Prairie Community Club. Marian was famous for making homemade doughnuts. She will always be remembered for her hospitality and for being so welcoming to everyone. She enjoyed her time spent with the Faribault Barbershoppers. Marian was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and most recently great-great grandmother.

Marian is survived by her sons, Duane (Linda) of Winona, Gary (Robin) of Kenyon, Lynn (Dawn) of Dundas, and Brian (Pamela) of Northfield; grandchildren, Christopher (Kim) Hutton, Nathan (Hanna) Hutton, Sarah (Nate) Johnson, Neil (Charlotte) Hutton, Vincent Hutton, Tamsen Hutton, Jacob (Amanda) Hutton, Jessica, Henry, Heidi, Grant, and Garrett Hutton; great grandchildren, Colden, Carson, Brody, Zaila, Isaiah, and Ethan; great-great grandchild, Sophia.

Preceded in death by, parents, husband, her 2 sons, Darrell and Paul.
