Hanard, Jon, James, Karyn, & Families,
I was very sorry to learn of Marlene’s illness and death. I have fond memories of Mrs. Lien from MHS. She was always kind and patient. It was fun to reconnect years later when I saw her in the hallways at SMSU, attending Senior College. My condolences to all.

Hanard, You and Marlene were highly respected at Minneota. Marlene always had a smile and a gleam in her eye. I never thanked her for the outstanding pies and cakes sampled by unnamed members of the varsity basketball team who snuck into her Home Economics room after hours. May God bless her. She was definitely one of his angels.

Mrs Lien was favorite teacher. She taught me it was good to be different then everyone else. This is a crazy memory but she shared with me how she did not have moons on her fingernails. She said this made her unique and that we all should celebrate our uniqueness. God bless her.
