Todd Lyle Lundell, age 53, of Northfield, formerly of Rosemount, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at his home.

Todd, the son of Peter and Karen (Taylor) Lundell, was born August 15, 1965, in Northfield. He was raised in Rosemount and there graduated from Rosemount High School in 1983. In high school, Todd played football his teammates nicknamed him, “Double Doritos,” because he always had two bags of Doritos in his locker. He then attended Inver Hills Community College before entering the United States Army in May of 1985 and serving until June of 1990. While stationed in New York, he was married. The couple had two children, Zacharias and Jordan. He returned to Minnesota and worked for Greif Brothers in Rosemount for several years. Upon moving back to New York, he owned and operated a deli, where he shared his love of cooking. Eventually returning to Northfield where he worked at Genova in Faribault until the time of his death.

Todd loved deer hunting on his great grandparent’s property in Black Duck, Minnesota, or better known as, “Grandma Minnie’s.” Originally built in the mid-1800s there weren’t too many amenities except peacefulness, relaxation, the beauty of Northern Minnesota and lots of deer. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards, and carpentry work. If he wasn’t watching the Minnesota Vikings, Todd would be most likely watching a movie from his well-established DVD collection.

He is survived by a son Zacharias¬¬¬¬ (Stacey) Lundell of Freedom, NY; a daughter Jordan (Indigo) Lundell of Gowanda, NY; three grandsons Zaiden, Cypress, and Helix; his parents Peter and Karen of Rosemount; his brother Eric Lundell of Bloomington; his sister Kelly (Cyd) Malecha of Prior Lake; and his nephew and niece Charlie and Emily Malecha. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services for Todd will be at Bierman Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Todd will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements by Bierman Funeral Home. biermanfuneralhome.com.
